The boys and I went on a quick road trip last weekend to meet up with another Rockhound in Estacata. This beautiful Oregon agate was in his front yard and was close to two feet across. Right behind it (sadly not pictured) was a full petrified tree section a couple feet long and about a foot across that he’d sliced into 2-inch sections like a loaf of sliced bread. Needless to say we found some amazing new rocks, especially geodes, obsidian, and even cast agates on this trip. And of course a lot of new fun places to explore.
